1. Product Overview
01-W3324F is Motorola’s OEM standardized VME main CPU board, corresponding to the commercial MVME5xxx PowerPC series platform, specially customized for Honeywell industrial DCS control cabinets. Unlike MVME705/MVME715 serial/digital I/O slave boards, it is a complete independent main controller with on-board CPU, memory, network and storage resources, capable of running control logic independently without relying on other host boards.
Equipped with PowerPC G4 high-frequency processor, ECC error-correcting SDRAM, on-board Flash firmware storage, four independent 10/100 Ethernet ports on front panel for redundant DCS network communication, one RS232 debug serial port, one wide SCSI storage interface, and dual PMC mezzanine expansion slots to support additional serial, analog I/O, graphics or communication modules.
The board fully complies with VME64 Rev C.1 bus standard, supports full A32/D64 block DMA transmission, built-in VME system arbiter, multi-level hardware watchdog, power-on self-test POST and comprehensive channel fault diagnosis circuits. The industrial-grade reinforced hardware design adopts multi-stage power filtering and wide-temperature components, adapting to long-term continuous operation in petrochemical, thermal power and offshore high-noise control cabinet environments.
Mainly deployed as the core host board of Honeywell TDC3000 LCN racks, responsible for operator station display data processing, process loop control algorithm operation, and data interaction with field I/O boards such as MVME705B, MVME715P, MVME333-2.
